Project Summary

The Data Centre fitout was over three floors of computer centre, office space, a car park and basement totaling in excess of 2500m2 and services construction cost was in excess of $2.2m.

BSE were appointed to undertake Electrical , Communication, IT, Security, Mechanical, Hydraulics and Fire Services design and documentation and construction phase involvement. The project incorporated the new Data Centre for Sydney Water with a requirement for future expansion and possible basement/ main car park level, sub division into two tenancies, with base building services being provided to allow easy modifications.

On the ground floor level there is open plan office space , with numerous island desktops which are served with power and data from below, eliminating the need for power poles to the high ceilings. In addition to this the staff were accommodated by the inclusion of tea/ breakout areas and amenities.
On the mezzanine level there is a further open plan office space, with workstation arranged off the walls.

Apart from the ‘normal’ fitout requirements, BSE were requested to undertake extensive and exhaustive roles in security & CCTV Monitoring, access control and intercoms system design and implantation. To supply power to this and the mechanical and general electrical systems BSE also upgraded the standby power engines, UPS Units and electrical supply quality.

The air quality temperature humidity and specialist lighting undertaken by BSE also required exceptional input and results.
The Fire Detection and Suppression System covered the full gamut of technology from smoke, thermal, laser detection to conventional sprinklers and gaseous suppression.
