BSE has been instrumental in encouraging the implementation of energy and water efficient designs and concepts in developments to assist with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and conservation of non-renewable energy resources. We currently employ a number of Green Star Accredited Professionals and NABERS Accredited Assessors.
Measuring performance
BSE staff is fully conversant and qualified in the following building metrics:
- BASIX
- Section J
- Green Star
- NABERS.
New buildings
At the concept design stage, to ensure that the project makes best use of the site we provide:
- Simulation at the design stage to assess environmental impact
- Innovative HVAC plant, lighting and services designs to minimise energy usage and environmental impact
- Compliance with BCA Section J requirements
- Assessment of the design environmental performance of buildings
- Assessment of the environmental performance of completed buildings.
Existing buildings
For existing buildings BSE provides:
- Energy audits of existing buildings
- Plans for improving the environmental performance of existing buildings
