Overview
Refurbishment Works Across Operational and Heritage Defence Facilities
Defence Establishment Orchard Hills (DEOH) is a major Department of Defence site in Western Sydney, supporting operational, logistics, and training functions across a range of Army units.
The Department of Defence undertook a program of refurbishment and maintenance works across multiple buildings at the site.
The site comprises a mix of operational facilities and heritage-listed buildings, requiring careful consideration of functional requirements, compliance, and the preservation of existing assets.
Our Role
Building Services Upgrades Within an Operational and Heritage Environment
BSE was engaged to deliver mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire protection services as part of the upgrade program.
Our role focused on enhancing the performance, safety, and reliability of existing building services, while responding to the operational requirements of an active defence facility and the constraints associated with heritage buildings.
Outcomes
Improved Performance and Extended Asset Life Across Existing Facilities
The works improved the condition and performance of building services across the site, supporting continued Defence operations.
Upgrades to existing systems contribute to extended asset life and ongoing functionality, ensuring facilities remain reliable and fit for purpose within an operational defence environment.
