Overview

Delivering a New Hospital Facility in Regional New South Wales

Health Infrastructure NSW is delivering a new hospital building to replace the existing Wentworth District Hospital, providing a significant improvement on the current 80-year-old facility.

The $30 million redevelopment will deliver a purpose-built hospital supporting inpatient and community outpatient health services. The project includes a 19-bed inpatient unit, primary ambulatory care, an urgent care centre, and a dedicated palliative care suite.

Our Role

Multi-Disciplinary Building Services Design with Sustainability Integration

BSE is delivering electrical, mechanical, fire protection, hydraulic, and sustainability engineering services for the project, including design finalisation, construction documentation, and services during construction.

As part of the design development, BSE contributed to enhancements in the project’s sustainability performance, supporting the uplift from Australian Best Practice towards Australian Excellence.

Outcomes

A Sustainable Healthcare Facility Supporting Regional Communities

The redevelopment will provide the Wentworth community with a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility, improving access to clinical services.

Building services design supports the delivery of a sustainable and functional hospital environment aligned with the operational requirements of a regional healthcare facility.
