OVERVIEW

Just 50 metres from Lindfield station, the former Tryon open carpark was transformed into a wide-open space with lush grass, serving as a vibrant meeting point for the people of Lindfield and the wider Ku-ring-gai community. The space is designed to host pop-up markets, theatre performances, and live music. Two gazebos with fast-growing plants provide shade to visitors, one of which seamlessly integrates the fire stairs connected to the three-level carpark underneath.

The site offers a total of 241 basement parking spaces, with 105 spaces dedicated to commuters and 136 spaces available for the general public. All three parking levels are equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

In addition to the open space and parking, the redevelopment includes a pavilion housing a café, Olea Lindfield.

SCOPE DELIVERED

BSE's NSW team partnered with DEM Architects to provide electrical, mechanical, fire protection, hydraulic, vertical transportation, communications and security, street lighting, and acoustic engineering design services for Lindfield Village Green.

PROJECT RESULTS

Stuart Johnson, Director - NSW and BSE’s project lead, said:

"This project delivers the best of both worlds, providing ample parking while transforming the surface level into a vibrant community space. It encourages people to use public transport, and we are proud that BSE has been able to contribute to a development that truly serves the Lindfield and wider Ku-ring-gai community."
