With BSE recently renewing our membership with the Property Industry Foundation (PIF), we’re taking a look back at the past 12 months and some of the initiatives we’ve been proud to support.
Construction Rocks 🎸
Most recently, we attended Construction Rocks, an epic battle of the bands for the property and construction industry.
The BSE team had a fantastic evening rocking out to hits like Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, Pink Pony Club, Killing in the Name, and It’s a Long Way to the Top. The event raised over $100,000 for The Haven Project which builds homes for well-established youth homelessness charities which then operate them.
We didn’t just come home with great memories. Andrew and Nicki Fraser found themselves in a friendly bidding war in support of the cause and took home a guitar, which is now proudly on display in our Sydney office.
HoMie 🧥
Another exciting initiative is our pro bono work for HoMie, a Melbourne-based streetwear label and social enterprise. HoMie is opening a boutique at the Emporium Melbourne, and BSE is partnering to provide building services engineering to help bring the project to life.
100% of HoMie’s profits go towards supporting young people affected by homelessness or hardship. Since 2015, the organisation has supported over 3,700 young people. We are grateful to PIF for connecting us with this meaningful opportunity to give back, and we look forward to sharing updates on this project.
Give Back Night 🧤
Earlier in the year, BSE supported PIF’s Give Back Night by donating toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and make-up. Our very own Godfrey Frederick, Director – National Strategic Partnerships, helped pack more than 1,500 essential winter items for The Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Services and The Girls Refuge.
BSE is proud of our continuing involvement with PIF and looks forward to supporting their causes over the next 12 months.
