Take the time to Ask R U OK? any day and not just today. 💛 A reminder that a simple conversation can change a life.
Research by R U OK? shows those who are regularly asked, 'are you OK?' report increased feelings of wellbeing. Still, many Australians hesitate to ask someone if they’re OK, because they're worried about intruding or they’re unsure if their actions will help.
Whether it’s a friend, family member, colleague, or partner, the people you care about go through life’s ups and downs every day. Having regular, meaningful conversations with the people close to you can help prevent small things from becoming big things.
Thanks to all the great mates who check in and keep showing up for the people they care about. 💛 Today might be the day YOU make a difference, with the simple question R U OK?
This R U OK? Day, the BSE team paused work to reflect, check in and participate in a mental health awareness workshop. Our facilitator, Heidi Crawford took our team on a journey to explore important topics including the myths around mental health. The discussion brought awareness to our team to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health disorders and provided practical strategies for looking after our own mental health and promoting wellbeing in our workspaces and beyond.
