2025 Innovation & Excellence Awards | NSW Winner – Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment

We’re proud to share that the Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment has been named NSW’s State Development of the Year winner at the 2025 Innovation & Excellence Awards by the Property Council of Australia.

This project is one of BSE’s favourites and features on the cover of our Sports Capability Statement, which you can view here. In its announcement, the Property Council stated:

“The landmark Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment was delivered on time, on budget and without community disruption despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Offering outstanding value through a prefabrication-focused construction methodology, SFSR provides a legacy of social and environmental benefits for both the Moore Park precinct and the people of NSW.”

BSE was engaged by Venues NSW to provide peer review services across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fire protection systems throughout the design and construction stages of the $800 million redevelopment.

The 45,000-seat stadium now features substantially improved sightlines, enhanced amenities, upgraded food and beverage offerings, a new fully covered roof, and a dynamic LED mesh façade that can change colour to support the home team.

In the past, BSE has provided its services for various projects at the Sydney Football Stadium and the greater Moore Park precinct, including the redevelopment of fire services, hydraulic upgrades, gas services reviews, and Aquatherm replacement.

Our contribution to this iconic venue continues through the Sydney Football Stadium Precinct Village and Carpark, where our NSW team has been engaged by Dynamite Electrical Group to provide electrical engineering design design finalisation services. This ongoing new-build project includes a new 1,500-space underground multi-level car park, outdoor broadcast staging facilities, with a Precinct Village above designed to serve both neighbouring residents and event-day patrons. The Precinct Village will feature a grand active events space, children’s playground, multiple food and beverage facilities with outdoor seating, large outdoor video screens, and tennis courts.

BSE is proud to have continuously played a part in the evolution of this precinct, which brings people together through sport and more, serving as the home to the Sydney Roosters, Sydney FC, and the NSW Waratahs.
