BSE is proud to support the Property Industry Foundation (PIF) and their mission to assist homeless youth. Through our partnership, we have helped our friends at HoMie Clothing and supported initiatives such as Construction Rocks. The guitar Andrew and Nicki Fraser won at last year’s Construction Rocks auction, now proudly displayed in our Sydney office, is proof of this collaboration. 🎸
As part of our continued support, Simon Daly and Robert Alvarez represented #TeamBSE at this year’s PIF Sydney Charity Regatta at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. ⛵ They jumped at the opportunity to spend a memorable day connecting with industry colleagues while enjoying the spectacular backdrop of Sydney Harbour. Despite a damp and cloudy start to the morning, the sun made a welcome appearance just before lunch, setting the scene for a fantastic afternoon on the water. It was truly a day well spent supporting a very worthy cause.”
Robert Alvarez, Marketing Specialist, reflected on the experience:
“While the strong winds prevented the race from going ahead as planned, our skipper, Richard Williams, made sure a good time was still had by all. He took us out on the harbour and gave everyone the chance to steer the boat, experience a few tacks, and enjoy great conversation while taking in the sights. We also shared the boat with some newfound friends from Kate Nixon. The only minor hiccup of the day was losing my BSE hat fairly early on, although I had been warned. PIF events are always a blast, and it’s inspiring to see the difference they make for young Australians.”
The team spent the day aboard Calibre 12, a racing yacht that has competed in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart twice under Richard’s ownership. We wish Richard and his crew the very best of luck in their upcoming races.
Youth homelessness affects 46,000 young Australians, with one in two being turned away due to a lack of beds. These young people need help, and PIF plays a vital role in creating safe environments and better futures for hundreds of young Aussies. Hats off to the PIF team for organising such a fantastic event. Definitely one for the books.
