Elysium Noosa Resort: Redefining Five-Star Comfort on the Sunshine Coast

BSE was engaged by SHAPE Australia to provide electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, and acoustics engineering design services for the refurbishment of guest rooms and food and beverage facilities at the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, now rebranded as the Elysium Noosa Resort.

Located amidst the buzz of vibrant Hastings Street, the multimillion-dollar enhancement program ensures that the 5-star hotel continues to be a flagship destination within Accor’s portfolio. The refurbishment encompassed all 175 rooms, along with the associated corridors and lift lobbies, and required a carefully planned staged approach to maintain operations, with a wing-by-wing strategy implemented.

Noosa Beach House Restaurant and Bar closed at the end of July 2025 and underwent a transformation, reopening in December 2025 as Cibaria Noosa. The space was reimagined with a more open dining plan, delivering an updated restaurant and bar experience aligned with the resort’s premium positioning. Cibaria Noosa, the Sunshine Coast sister to the award-winning Cibaria Manly, offers an all-day Italian dining experience from renowned Chef Alessandro Pavoni and the Maestro Hospitality team.

Peter D'Astuto, Senior Associate and Interiors & Refurbishment Lead – QLD, and BSE’s project lead for Elysium Noosa, said:

“Delivering a project of this scale required close coordination with the entire project delivery team and hotel operations. BSE was proud to contribute to the staged, wing-by-wing approach, helping ensure operational continuity and an exceptional guest experience.”

BSE is proud to have supported this transformation by ensuring building services were integrated seamlessly with the refurbishment works to deliver comfort, efficiency, and compliance.
