End of year message from CEO, Andrew Fraser

Here we all go again! Final days till the end-of-year break and despite all our best endeavours in planning for a steady and managed lead up to the break, we find ourselves, and the rest of the industry, running at breakneck speed, yet again!

It has, however, been a very rewarding year at BSE, with steady growth across all of our regions and disciplines, and the commencement of BSE’s National Fire Safety team.

BSE’s continued and growing success is a clear demonstration of the unwavering dedication and hard work of each team member. From innovative engineering solutions, meticulous reviews and planning, every team member has provided an essential part in outstanding results.

Once again, our BSE Community – with the help of our highly valued project partners and clients, have worked together and powered through both an exciting and a demanding year. Broader economic challenges and international instability easily draw attention and focus, our BSE teams have remained set on delivering exceptional project outcomes and creating liveable, workable and enjoyable spaces for our communities.

I am incredibly proud of how our teams, leaders and Directors adapt, innovate, and implement solutions to ensure our business is able to balance our existing operations with growth. I am very thankful to the family members of the BSE Community for the occasional sacrifices that are part of the fabric of the construction industry.

Wishing our clients and project partners a happy Christmas and a safe and hopeful New Year and extend another warm thank you to our Teams who have gone above & beyond to deliver exceptional work.

Classic colours, big or little trees and other festive notes, they help our teams share anticipation for the upcoming end-of-year break, and appreciate the simple fun of the season.  With a sprinkle of joy and a dash of holiday magic, as we look forward to a well-deserved break and the promise of a bright new year! 🌟🎅

10 Years of Tim!

Last week, our Brisbane team took the opportunity to celebrate with Tim O’Regan on his 10-year anniversary at BSE. Tim is an integral part of the BSE community, a talented engineer and team leader.

Tim has been with BSE since 2013, in that time the company and Brisbane office has seen significant growth, evolution and change, and we are pleased to have such a hard working, consistent and dedicated member of the BSE community like Tim has been there every step of the way.

Cameron Webb, Director, took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the care and commitment Tim has given to BSE’s success. He commented that “Over the past 10 years, we’ve seen Tim grow in his professional life, technical experience and leadership capacity. He’s an essential part of our QLD success”.

International Men's Day

Celebrating International Men’s Day

International Men's Day is an annual day of recognition to appreciate the positive contributions of men in society and the importance of effective male role models. Conversations about men’s issues are complex and humour can serve as a helpful icebreaker, and open doors to deeper and necessary conversations. Take a moment this International Men's Day to appreciate the men in our lives, their achievements and their resilience and vulnerability. By infusing a bit of humour, we may foster an environment where deeper conversations can flourish, breaking down stereotypes and promoting understanding.

As today is also World Toilet Day (to improve sanitation and water access for everyone driven by the UN), BSE has brought together our team’s greatest toilet jokes in honour of these two days.
