Senior Fire Protection Engineer

You have oustanding fire protection experience, significant project management ability, thorough technical understanding and are confident communicating with clients, business partners and contributing to our team success culture.

About you

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in Australian building services, ideally in consulting

  • Are a registered competent Fire Safety Practitioner for the design of fire protection services (FPAS accredited)

  • Extensive experience with Fire Protection (wet & dry) services engineering concept to construction completion

  • Clear applied knowledge of local building codes and standards both current and previous years (BCA, Ordinance 70, NFPA and Australian Standards for fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems, fire detection and alarm systems, compliance with local fire brigades)

  • Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Code of Construction

  • Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline discipline projects including managing client expectations

  • Proactive and innovative approach to solutions

  • Routinely demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, project team and internal teams

  • Passionate about mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven project, organisation and time management skills

  • Use latest technology – REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite including Office and One Drive

  • Revit design and modelling experience highly regarded
