Overview
Delivering a Childcare Facility Within a Heritage-Listed Context
The Cheltenham Early Education Centre Tallowwood Place involved the construction of a new 60-place early learning facility located at 179 Beecroft Road, Cheltenham.
The development includes a basement plant room and storage areas, on-grade open-air car parking with 13 spaces, and a purpose-built childcare centre with separate rooms for children aged 0–2 years, 2–3 years, and 3–5 years. The facility also incorporates external play areas, kitchen and administration spaces, amenities, and an upper-level multipurpose room with staff facilities.
The project was delivered within a heritage-listed former church site, requiring careful integration of new works within an existing heritage context.

Outcomes
A Functional Learning Environment Within a Sensitive Heritage Setting
The completed childcare centre delivers a modern early learning environment while respecting and retaining the site’s heritage significance.
