Overview
Development of a New Volkswagen Dealership in Brisbane
Autosports Group’s Volkswagen dealership at 508 Kessels Road replaces its previous Mt Gravatt location, delivering a purpose-built sales and service facility in Brisbane’s south.
Located on a prominent site, the development comprises a multi-level dealership including a premium showroom, underground parking, and a 14-bay service centre. The facility is designed to accommodate over 50 vehicles, including 12 displayed within the showroom, and incorporates a customer-facing hospitality offering with a café.
The project provides an upgraded customer environment while supporting efficient servicing and back-of-house operations aligned with Volkswagen’s dealership standards.
Our Role
Building Services Design and Sustainability Compliance
BSE provided mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, and sustainability engineering services for the project, including detailed design and documentation.
The scope included undertaking a Section J (JV3) assessment, using energy modelling to demonstrate compliance of glazing and insulation systems with regulatory requirements.
Outcomes
A Modern Dealership Supporting Sales and Servicing Operations
The completed facility provides a contemporary environment for vehicle sales and servicing, supporting both customer experience and operational efficiency.
Building services design aligns with Volkswagen’s global brand requirements while supporting compliance and ongoing performance of the facility.
Dealer Principal Kevin Major noted:
“We would like to thank our customers, team members and Volkswagen Group Australia for their support during construction, and we are delighted to welcome our customers into our all-new MacGregor showroom and service centre. We know you have a choice of Volkswagen dealers in Brisbane and thank you for choosing MacGregor Volkswagen.”
