Overview

A New Flagship Showroom Experience

The Winning Appliances Flagship Showroom at 18 Danks Street, Waterloo spans approximately 2,500 square metres across two levels and two tenancies.

Designed by Cera Stribley, the showroom was developed as a flagship destination bringing together appliances, furniture, lighting, homewares, and bathware within a single location. Drawing inspiration from residential and hospitality environments, the space reimagines the traditional appliance showroom, creating an immersive customer experience designed to showcase leading brands within carefully curated settings.

The project provides Winning Appliances with a purpose-built flagship facility designed to support customer engagement and showcase products within a highly customised retail environment.

Our Role

Building Services Design and Delivery

BSE was engaged by Mettle and Cera Stribley to provide mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire protection engineering services for the project.
Our involvement extended through concept design, detailed design, tender documentation, construction support, and the defects liability period.
The project required careful coordination of building services across a highly specialised retail environment. Working closely with the wider project team, BSE developed integrated engineering solutions tailored to the operational requirements of the showroom.
Key elements of the design included load management strategies to optimise energy consumption, a water-cooled VRV system to maintain comfortable conditions throughout the facility, hot water circulation systems providing immediate hot water access, and integrated fire protection services.
Throughout delivery, BSE worked closely with Mettle, Cera Stribley, Essence Project Management, and the broader consultant team to coordinate building services across the customised showroom environment.

Outcomes

Supporting an Immersive Retail Destination

The completed showroom provides Winning Appliances with an innovative, purpose-built facility designed to support customer engagement and showcase an extensive range of products within a single destination.

Building services were integrated to support the operational requirements of the showroom while responding to the project’s architectural vision and customer experience objectives.

“Designed to engage all the senses, Winnings Redfern provides customers with an opportunity to see, touch and interact with the latest technologies and designs for the home. The Showroom is light and sophisticated, with the intention to feel like a sanctuary, just as a home should feel. Australian consumers are some of the most discerning shoppers in the world and have a great eye for design and innovation, so we know they will appreciate the quality and sensory experience of the Showroom.”
