Overview
Planning a New Education Precinct in Huntlee
The Huntlee Schools project involves the planning and development of a new primary school and high school on a greenfield site at Huntlee NSW, supporting the rapid growth of the surrounding community.
The development is designed to accommodate approximately 500 primary students, 1,000 secondary students, and 60 preschool children, forming a contemporary education precinct with shared facilities, integrated outdoor spaces, and infrastructure to support staged expansion.
Our Role
Building Services Design Across Early Project Phases
BSE is providing mechanical, electrical, acoustics, vertical transportation, and sustainability services across the early design phases of the project, from masterplanning and concept design through to 80% Design and Construct design supporting the tender phase.
Our role focuses on establishing coordinated building services strategies for both schools, aligning with NSW Government education standards and supporting future expansion of the precinct.
Acoustic design forms a key component of the works, with simultaneous assessment of both school sites from the outset to ensure appropriate acoustic performance across learning environments.
Outcomes
A Coordinated Design Framework for Future School Delivery
The project is establishing a coordinated building services design framework to support the delivery of two new schools within a shared precinct.
Early-stage planning supports flexible learning environments, staged construction, and scalable infrastructure aligned with long-term community growth.
The integrated approach across both campuses supports consistent outcomes and efficient progression into later stages of project delivery.
