Overview
Planning a Net-Zero Secondary School for Brisbane’s Inner North
The Windsor Inner North Secondary School (WINSS) is a new co-educational secondary college planned to open in 2029, responding to growing demand for secondary education in Brisbane’s inner-city region.
A key component of the project is its commitment to sustainability and net-zero operational carbon emissions. Design strategies include passive design, façade optimisation through parametric modelling, thermal and visual comfort enhancements, and an energy-efficient building envelope.
The school is planned to provide a modern, innovative, and future-ready learning environment for students.
