Overview
Redevelopment of a Major Sports and Entertainment Venue in Moore Park
The NSW Government redeveloped Allianz Stadium into the Sydney Football Stadium as part of an approximately $800 million redevelopment, delivering a modern, 45,000-seat venue within Sydney’s premier sporting and entertainment precinct at Moore Park.
The stadium includes significantly improved sightlines, enhanced amenities, upgraded food and beverage facilities, a fully covered roof, and a dynamic LED mesh façade capable of changing colour to support home teams.
The redevelopment was delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic using a prefabrication-focused construction methodology, achieving completion on time and on budget while maintaining continuity of delivery under complex conditions.
In 2025, the project was recognised as NSW’s State Development of the Year at the Property Council of Australia’s Innovation & Excellence Awards, acknowledging both its delivery approach and the long-term social and environmental benefits provided to the Moore Park precinct and the broader community.

Our Role
Independent Peer Review Across Design and Construction
BSE was engaged by Venues NSW to provide independent peer review services across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fire protection systems throughout both design and construction stages of the redevelopment.
Our role involved detailed review of building services design intent, technical performance, compliance, and constructability. This included assessment of system integration and alignment with the operational requirements of a major international sporting and entertainment venue.
The peer review process supported the development of robust and coordinated building services solutions appropriate for a high-capacity, high-performance facility.

Outcomes
Supporting Delivery of a Complex Stadium Redevelopment
BSE’s peer review contributed to the successful delivery of a complex, high-profile stadium redevelopment. The completed venue now hosts a wide range of sporting and entertainment events and serves as the home of the Sydney Roosters, Sydney FC, and the NSW Waratahs.
This engagement forms part of BSE’s ongoing involvement across the Moore Park precinct. BSE continues to contribute to the Sydney Football Stadium Precinct Village and Carpark development, an associated project that includes a 1,500-space underground multi-level car park and a Precinct Village designed to support both event-day patrons and local residents.
The Precinct Village incorporates a large active events space, children’s playground, multiple food and beverage venues with outdoor seating, large outdoor video screens, tennis courts, and a public plaza with integrated transport connections to support efficient movement across the site.
In addition to this ongoing work, BSE has delivered prior services across the precinct, including fire services redevelopment, hydraulic upgrades, gas services reviews, and replacement of Aquatherm pipework.
This broader body of work demonstrates BSE’s capability in supporting complex stadium and precinct infrastructure across multiple project stages, contributing to long-term performance, reliability, and functionality of major public venues.
