Overview
Delivering a Multi-Level Workplace Fit-Out at Salesforce Tower
JLL relocated its Sydney headquarters to Salesforce Tower at 180 George Street, delivering a next-generation workplace designed to support flexibility, collaboration, and employee wellbeing. Occupying more than 3,500 square metres across Levels 25, 26, and 27, the office brings together over 400 staff in a highly connected environment.
The project reflects JLL’s evolving approach to office design, moving away from traditional desk-based layouts in favour of a more adaptable and collaborative workplace. More than 70 collaboration spaces are integrated throughout the fit-out, supporting a shift towards interaction, flexibility, and a broader range of working styles.
A defining feature of the workplace is the central staircase linking all three levels, creating a continuous connection across the tenancy. Large open-plan areas, exposed ceilings, and shared collaboration zones introduced coordination challenges across services disciplines, requiring careful design to maintain comfort, functionality, and overall performance.
The fit-out incorporates a mix of workspace types, including open-plan areas, collaboration zones, meeting rooms, innovation spaces, quiet zones, wellness facilities, and a work café. Each space introduces different operational and environmental requirements, requiring a flexible and carefully coordinated building services approach across the tenancy.

Our Role
Coordinated Building Services Delivery Across a Multi-Level Workplace
BSE coordinated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, and acoustic services across interconnected floors to support the varied workspace requirements of the tenancy.
Acoustic design was a key focus, particularly within open and highly collaborative areas. BSE worked closely with the wider design team to manage noise transfer and reverberation, ensuring spaces remained comfortable and functional while maintaining the architectural intent of exposed ceilings and open configurations.
This included acoustic modelling, detailed coordination, and verification testing to address internal noise levels, reverberation, and acoustic separation, supporting the acoustic performance requirements associated with the WELL framework.
Integration between disciplines was critical, particularly where service interfaces affected acoustic performance. Measures such as minimising unnecessary service penetrations were implemented to reduce sound transfer between adjoining spaces and maintain acoustic separation.
BSE’s involvement in another project within 180 George Street, including the LaSalle Investment Management tenancy, provided familiarity with the building and supported coordination during delivery.

Outcomes
A Flexible Workplace Balancing Openness, Performance, and Acoustic Control
The project delivered a highly flexible and connected workplace that supports collaboration, employee wellbeing, and evolving patterns of work. Building services and acoustic solutions were integrated to balance openness with functionality across a complex multi-level tenancy.
The completed headquarters aligns with JLL’s vision for the future of work, providing a workplace that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term adaptation as workplace needs continue to evolve.
BSE’s contribution ensured the design intent was realised through coordinated services that support comfort, usability, and performance across the workplace.
